POPULATION OF BEN TRE PROVINCE

The population of Ben Tre province in 2008 was 1,359,642 of which female accounts for 51.5%. Natural population growth rate was 0.748%. The malnutritious children are around 18.8%.

There are average 4.57 doctors above 10,000 residents.  The working force accounts for 64 percent of the population of the whole province. Approximately 36 percent of labour force has been trained. Annually there are 12,000 students graduated from high school and around 3,000 students graduated from universities, colleges and technical high schools.
