On the morning of Friday, 5 February 2010, PICA Viet Nam One Member Co., Ltd held the ground breaking ceremony to construct the activate carbon manufacturing plant in Giao Long Industrial park, Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province. The investment license of the PICA Viet Nam was granted in November 2009 with total investment of US$5 million. Total land renting area of the Company is around 1.8 ha. The production capacity of A.C  plant is 12,000 per annum and mainly used for export. It is expected that the plant will be constructed in six months and it will be put into commercial operation in the fourth quarter of 2010. This plant will contribute to consuming granulated charcoal and creating more jobs for the youth of Ben Tre province.
