In 2008, Giao Long IP continues to be concerned by investors. Regarding FDI, Giao Long IP Authority granted 2 more projects those are: i) coconut-based product project, especially products of coconut milk, caned coconut water, frozen food and kinds of drinks of Viet World Company Limited with 100% owned capital of Thai investors. The total investment capital is USD 5.5 million and leasing 3.7 ha of land. The Company started-up construction in August 2008 and shall put into operation in May 2009. This is one of FDI projects to process agri-product with a large investment capital in Ben Tre province. ii) Lio Thai organic fertilizer manufacture project of Green Field Company Limited, 100% owned capital of Hongkong investor. The total investment capital is USD 2 million, the leasing area of 2.6 ha. The Company began construction and shall put into operation in the third quarter of the year 2009. Towards domestic direct investment (DDI), the biggest one is products processing project from cacao materials of Cacao Viet Nam Company Limited with the total investment capital of USD 37 million. At present, the Company hasn’t received land yet because of some difficulties in site clearance. Project for processing food, cosmetics and kinds of drinks of Sanna Company Limited with the total investment capital is VND 15 billion. Alpha International Joint-stock Company with registered capital of VND 32 billion was issued investment certificate in September 2008 and began construction on the area of 2.7 ha. The company’s main products are spare part  production for logistic field. 

So far, Giao Long IP attracted 12 investment projects with the total registered capital of VND 1,620 billion, of which there are 4 FDI projects with the total registered capital of USD 28 million. The total area of leasing land is 41 ha, accounting for 64% the area of the whole industrial park. In the total 12 projects, there are 9 projects to be activated and have put into operation.
